You’ve probably heard the rules.
Keep your knee here.
Square your hips.
Point your toes this way.
Keep your spine like this.
Don’t let your knee go past your toes.
But how do you know which cues actually matter for your body?
Posture Lab is a hands-on exploration of familiar yoga postures—and the many ways our bodies can move into them.
We’ll take several poses you probably encounter regularly in class and slow them down. We’ll explore the alignment principles behind them, experiment with different variations, and use simple anatomy to understand why certain cues are offered in the first place.
Most importantly, we’ll investigate what happens when we stop looking for one perfect shape and start paying attention to our own structure, movement, sensation, and experience.
